The Article we read, called So movies shouldn't break the laws of physics? Don't tell Captain Kirk, talks about movies and tv shows. His main idea was that movies shouldn't break the laws of physics or make them look completely unbeleivable. I think that if films are backed up with some reality (a story, moral, myth, legend etc.) films can have fictitious elements. If the film is cmpletely absurd, then nobody is going to like it. I know Star Wars is kind of absurd, but for me Star Wars is my FAVORITE movie. So I think that science-fiction is good as long as it has a good story behind it.
Check this youtube video, which I think shows why Star Wars became so succesful. Not only because of the fantasy but also because of the story.
